Systems Thinking presentation to the Dog Advisory Council 3rd December 2013

Today, we were invited to make a presentation to the Dog Advisory Council at their Open Meeting. You can view our slides below. They explain what Systems Thinking is and we give some examples of how a System Map could be developed for looking at the issues associated with Brachycephalic breeds such as Pugs and French Bulldogs.  The models show both the Supply side and Demand side of the system. We also show a supply side example of how a set of coherent improvement strategies can be developed from aspirations, through guidance to practical operational activities to improve dogs’ health and welfare.
